Penetration behavior of reactive projectiles impacting TC4 plates

Abstract The reactive projectile presents a tremendous potential to induce the combined damage effect of kinetic energy and chemical plate. A series ballistic impact experiments numerical simulation studies were carried out study penetration behavior against TC4 experimental results showed that with velocity increasing from 537m/s 682m/s, mode plate gradually changes bulge, cross crack plug. According results, limit perpendicular penetrating 5mm is 648.33m/s. reaches GPa high pressure within few microseconds when it impacted During plate, release significantly improves ability, contribution can reach 55.07%.
